I named this business when I was 18 in memory of my Aunti Shari who introduced me to artist's markets and surrounded herself with all things handmade. Shari's Tree is an extension of her love of art in her every day.

I started my business making paper goods, and you will always find my gift tags at shows, though neddle-felted wool sculpture and accessories are now my focus. I love the color and texture of wool and draw inspiration for my sculpture from nature and simple objects. Acorns are my (not so) secret love. I scour the city for acorn caps and fallen oak branches, then fill the caps with wool acorns in every color imaginable. It seems that by just looking around me, I never lack for inspiration.

I hope that the joy I feel in creating carries to those who see and wear my work--when my work is held in your hands, it touches you back, and there is something lovely and comforting in that.
